How You Can Help Other People Fight Cancer

There is more than 3 billion people on earth that are affected by cancer each day. People in your family may even be struggling from cancer too. To help them and make them feel better you can participate in fund raisers, (Like the ones listed in "Fund Raisers For Cancer") or donate toys and flowers to children's hospitals. If you have a family member fighting cancer it's always nice to send them feel better cards, or gifts like flowers. Doing this can make them persevere to fight the battle of cancer and live a healthy life. Does this make you think of anyone you know?

Fund Raisers For Cancer

Almost everyone in the world knows someone that has cancer, so why not fund raise for them? Make their life better, by donating money to the Canadian Cancer Society or fund raising. The money you donate or fund raised will go towards research and helping find a cure for every kind of cancer. It will also go to hospitals in your area to make the cancer patients more comfortable and happy. By donating money to the Canadian Cancer Society you will not only make the cancer patient's life better you will make them believe they can survive the fight of
cancer.
There are sports to fund raise for cancer like the relay for life, curl for cancer and golf for cancer. The relay for life is a non-competitive event when teams of 10 participants walk, run or stroll around a track to raise funds for the Canadian Cancer Society to support research and services for people living with cancer. It's an event for the whole community! Curl for cancer is challenging your skills in the annual Curl for Cancer Tournament. Whether you are a beginner or an expert, your whole community is invited to enjoy a day of curling. Golf for cancer is where you can get your golf club to help raise money for cancer by participating in "Golf for Cancer" campaign.
The Canadian Cancer Society also has other campaigns like daffodil days, the residential campaign, cops for cancer and students rally for cancer.
Daffodil Days: This is when people sell daffodils all across the province each year to raise money for cancer, so why not brighten your day with a bunch of daffodils?
Residential Campaigns: This residential campaign takes place each April with their door to door campaign to raise money for cancer.
Cops for Cancer: Police across the province organize the Canadian Cancer Society's cops for cancer events by getting the community to fundraise and hold cancer awareness activities.
Students Rally for Cancer: this is an add on to cops for cancer, it's when students play sports to fundraise for cancer. So get your school involved!
With all these fund raisers the Canadian cancer society makes lots of money for cancer but they could make even more with your help! So donate, and fundraise to make cancer patient's persevere and believe that they can win the fight against cancer and live. Get your school and your community involved and work for a cancer free world! Comment on my blog and tell me what you’ve fund-raised for, and what kind of event it was.
